You have the ability to send Notifications to your students as needed, and for any reason you choose. You can have these Notifications appear on the Kiosk for your student when they sign into class, send them an Email with this notification, or both.
First go to your Notifications Preferences located in Other>Other Options>Preferences>Notifications
Then begin by clicking on the + to create a new Notification, see screen shot below.
From there, name your new Notification and select if you’d like to have it show up on Kiosk, have an Email sent, or both – see screen shots below.
Once you have saved the Notification Preference, go to the Student Record you need to notify and go to General>Notifications.
*NOTE: at this time, ONLY use the Notification options that you have created in your system/located in your Notifications Preferences. Any Notification that is not set up in your Preferences will not notify the student. We are working on removing any default notifications to eliminate confusion.*
Choose one of the Notifications you have set up in your Preferences. It will then notify the student when they login (kiosk set to Yes) and/or send the student an email with the specific info you have specified (email set to yes) or both (both marked yes). See screen shots below, including how-to “clear” the notification once the student has completed the task.
To clear the Notification so it no longer appears on Kiosk and/or when it’s completed by the student, go back to General>Notifications within their student record and click in the Complete circle.
Once you have done so, the circle will have a Checkmark and the Notification will no longer be on the Kiosk when they sign into class.
